A video posted on YouTube of the DualShock 4 controller for the PS4 being used with an Xbox 360 console is causing confusion in the gaming community.

According to IGN, RageBeefSA posted a clip of himself using the DualShock controller with the Xbox 360 "RageBeefSA posted the video."

"He reveals that he managed to make it work using 'a combination of JoyToKey, a Cronus Device, and Cronus Bullseye software,'" IGN reports.

Last week, the tech site reported the DualShock 4 controller would be compatible with the PlayStation 3, PCs and Macs. However, it seems like it would be a stretch to assume the DualShock 4 controller would be compatible with their competitior's Xbox 360, let alone the possibility of it connecting to the Xbox One.

The PlayStation 4 will be released on Nov. 15, and the Xbox One will launch on Nov 22.

On the heels of the PS4 release, some tech retailers have sent out the DualShock 4 to those who pre-ordered the controller.

"NeoGAF's ever-vigilant community noticed that some who've pre-ordered peripherals at Amazon and GameStop are already playing with the DualShock 4 controller and PlayStation 4 camera, posting their spoils to YouTube," Engadget.com reports. "While you can't do much with either yet, at least PS3 owners can use the new controller with certain games -- the familiarity might give them a leg up in Killzone Shadow Fall come launch day."

Sony Computer Entertainment has also announced their first software update for the PS4 available for download on the release date.

"We wanted to shed some light on system software update version 1.50 for PS4, which will launch simultaneously with the system's official North American launch on November 15th, 2013," Sony said in a statement on their PlayStation Blog. "By updating to system software version 1.50, you'll be able to experience a variety of new features in addition to the basic functions of PS4."
