Ben Affleck is set to play Bruce Wayne in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" film directed by Zack Snyder.

When the official casting announcement was made, Affleck became the subject of Internet memes and jokes, as many did not agree he could take on the superhero role.

However, what many do not know is that he too was reluctant about taking on the role of the Caped Crusader.  In an interview with 411 Mania, Affleck explained the process he went through before taking on the role.

"Initially I was reluctant as I felt I didn't fit the traditional mold but once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris and Christian made but still in keeping with tradition I was excited," Affleck said.  "Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations. The truth is, it's the movie and the execution of it is what all the actors depend on and I believe in Zack's vision."

According to 411 Mania, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara described Snyder's version will be tired, weary and seasoned.  Affleck agreed with Tsjuihara's description of his upcoming character role.

"I don't want to go further because I want to be able to capitalize on what is new about this iteration by having it be a surprise to the audience," Affleck said.

A new take on Batman sounds perfect consider rumor has it the next Batmobile will look nothing like "The Dark Knight" Tumbler.  According to Batman-On-Film.com, the new car will look more like a Cadillac than a military vehicle.

Check out the rumored description of what the "Batman vs. Superman" production crew allegedly has in the works.

"The Batmobile is currently being designed and built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. This is the same team who most recently designed and built the vehicles for TRANSFORMERS 4 with Michael Bay - who was very hands-on and involved in the design/building process for the new Bumblebee Camaro. Anyway, back to the new Batmobile...It will definitely NOT have a military look like The Tumbler from [Chris] Nolan's 'Dark Knight Trilogy.'

"As of about four weeks ago, it was still "pictures on the wall" - meaning nothing had actually been built yet.  An "old Cadillac" will feature prominently in the film. When I remarked to my source that the Cadillac Sixteen concept car from a few years back looked a lot like a Batmobile, he stayed mum."
