Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) are locked up in silver room again but this time Olivia (Kerry Washington) isn’t there and this time it’s involuntary.

According to a sneak peek provided on TVGuide.com, the Capitol and White House are facing a bomb threat which forces the President and First Lady to be carried to safety.

Fitz is under the impression he does not need to be locked up and decides to try and make his way past some secret service men to get to the situation room. One of the men tell him that he is not allowed. Fitz, very aware of his executive branch status, says “Good luck stopping me.”

Boy does the secret service agent have some news for him:

“I’m afraid that under these current threat protocols, I’d be forced to tackle you sir.”

At least he said “sir.”

This week on Scandal fans will be looking forward to the return of Jake Ballard (Scott Foley). Olivia’s father Rowan (Joe Morton) so graciously gave him back to her in the last episode. We expect that Jake is traumatized since everyone who returns from being tortured by B16, no matter how much training they received elsewhere, is devastated.

According to photos from tomorrow’s episode, which can be seen here on ABC.com, they’ll have a lot to talk about. Oh, and Jake as given himself a nice shave. Do you think he and Olivia will end up together again?

“Scandal” airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
