Katy Perry topped Forbes' list of the ten highest paid women in music for 2015, beating out pop rival Taylor Swift and fellow stars Beyoncé, Fleetwood Mac and Lady Gaga in the top five, Forbes reported. Perry earned the largest amount of money, pulling in revenue from a successful world tour, hit singles and product endorsements.

Perry placed at number three on Forbes' comprehensive Celebrity 100 list, which was released in July. She was the only female in the top five of highest paid celebrities of 2015, just behind boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, according to Forbes.

"I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company," Perry told Forbes in July. "I'm an entrepreneur. ... I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls."

The pop star earned $135 million in the last year, pulling in revenue from her Prismatic World Tour (she brought in more than $2 million per city over 126 dates) and her product deals with Coty, Claire's and Covergirl rounded out the rest.

Swift earned the number two spot on the 2015 list, earning $80 million with the first leg of her mega-successful 1989 World Tour. Swift earned $4 million in each city during the start of her tour, and Forbes predicted that she would snag the number one spot on next year's list.
