Rockstar Games released a surprise Halloween update on Thursday, available exclusively to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC users from Oct. 29 until Nov.16, according to GameSpot.

Grand Theft Auto V is celebrating Halloween with special spooky themes, like slasher adversary mode, masks and hearses, reported EnstarzThe GTA Halloween surprise update is free, IGN noted. The special vehicles and items received from the surprise will stay in players' inventories even after the event ends on Nov. 16.

Players residing in Los Santos and Blaine County can acquire two new vehicles: the Lurcher Hearse and the Franken Stange. 20 ghoulish new bobblehead accessories are available for the dashboards, according to the company.

Players can get special Halloween masks in the Monsters section of the Vespucci Movie Masks, according to Rockstar Games. 30 new scary styles of face paint are also available to you and your crew for tackling heists.

A new Slasher Adversary mode, for up to 8 players - where one player is the slasher who hunts and stalks the other players, who run and hide in the dark using flashlights - is also available to users. The slasher has a shotgun and the other players can gain a shotgun if they successfully hide for three minutes, according to Enstarz.

Residents of Los Santos and Blaine County can strike fear this Halloween with the surprise free updates for the new generation consoles, reported GameSpot.
