Rapper French Montana had nothing but praise for the way his ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian responded to Lamar Odom's hospitalization, the New York Daily News reported. Montana commended Kardashian for rushing to her estranged husband's side as he remained in a 72-hour coma last week and for standing by him as he makes his recovery.

"It's a beautiful thing what she's doing," the 30-year-old hip hop artist told the NYDN's gossip column Confidenti@l at the Tidal X concert in Brooklyn Tuesday night. "I feel like every woman should do that."

Former NBA star Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last Tuesday, as previously reported by HNGN. He was placed under a medically induced coma and remained in critical condition until last Friday, when he began making strides towards what doctors are calling a miraculous recovery. Kardashian posted a message thanking fans and hospital staff for their support.

"The past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar," she wrote in a statement on her website.

Kardashian, who is still legally married to Odom even though the former couple signed divorce papers in July, rushed to his side and has vowed to stay with him as he continues his recovery. Montana praised her for caring for Odom in his time of need.

"I feel like once somebody's going through a critical condition, I feel like people should step up to the plate to help because once upon a time they had a real relationship when they was married, they still married," Montana said.

Montana and Kardashian began dating in April 2014, four months after she filed for divorce from Odom, Us Weekly reported. The pair spent almost a year together off-and-on, but they parted ways this past spring.
