Moto X on AT&T network has finally received the latest software update to enhance camera quality and improve touchless control on the smartphone.

Moto X owners on AT&T's network have a new reason to celebrate. After being shared on T-Mobile and Sprint, the latest over-the-air (OTA) update has finally made its way to Moto X on AT&T, which enhances camera feature and improves touchless controls. The U.S. network carrier confirmed that the latest software update will "boost the core functions of the phone while enhancing the already-robust user experience of the Moto X smartphone."

The update is similar to what appeared on T-Mobile on Sprint versions of Moto X smartphones. The major change is in the camera application on the phone, which had received negative feedback in its earlier stages after being compared to the Apple iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4.

The OTA update, announced Friday, improves the overall image quality of white balance and color accuracy with better exposures outdoors or in backlit scenes. The response time for touch-to-focus has been improved and eliminated unnecessary refocusing in low light or continuous motion scenes.

In addition to the camera enhancements, the latest software update brings improved accuracy and quick response touchless control, easier set up and training of Motorola Voice assist and better file transfer.

Follow the instructions below to manually install the latest software update or wait for an update notification on your Moto X smartphone.

Ensure the battery is charged at least 50 percent for any software update and connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Go to settings
Select "About Phone"
Go to "System Updates"
Select "Download" and then "Install"
Phone restarts automatically after the software update, which means the new update has successfully been installed.

All leading U.S. carriers have released the OTA update for Moto X, except for Verizon. But considering the progress with other carriers, it won't be too long before the big red brings the software update to its users, so y'all hang in there.
