Josh Jackson is one of the most highly coveted recruits in the 2016 class and he still has yet to make his decision or finish his official visits. Jackson is considering Arizona, Michigan State, Maryland, Kentucky and Duke among other schools but right now it is hard to handicap who has the advantage. Over the summer Jackson said he could envision himself as a Maryland Terrapin but now it seems as though he might be leaning towards Michigan State, according to Eric Bossi of Rivals.com.

Tom Izzo and the Spartans have been on fire in terms of recruiting for 2016 as they just added five-star forward Miles Bridges over the weekend making theirs the number one class in the nation. Bridges is one of four recruits already committed to Michigan State for 2016 and is one of two five-star recruits; Jackson would be the third and would also be the best of the bunch.

As of right now 247 Sports still thinks that Arizona is the favorite to land Jackson, who they rank as the number one player in the 2016 class, but it is far from a lock. They give Arizona a 29 percent shot while Kansas and Michigan State are both at 21 percent. Jackson did say that the fact that the Spartans were able to get Bridges and a few other big time recruits is helpful in their recruitment of him. Also it is important to note that Jackson is from Southfield, Michigan another advantage that Izzo might have in recruiting the young shooting guard.

Jackson is 6 foot-7 which is great size for a wing player, especially in college, and he has the talent to be a star at the college level. His game is versatile and he plays extremely hard on every single play. Jackson is a very good rebounder who should be able to be a defensive stopper immediately. He will have to put on a little weight, like most recruits do, and improve his ball-handling but his upside is tremendous and whichever school lands him will be getting a stud.

Jackson has not determined a timetable for when he will announce his decision yet but it seems like it is still up in the air where he will be play his college basketball. If Michigan State were to land him they would easily have the top class in the nation and it would be hard to imagine any other school passing them on that list. Schools like Arizona, Kentucky and especially Maryland are hoping he doesn't choose the Spartans because that would be a scary team.
