Stephanie Hernandez from Little Rock, Ark., was posting selfies on Snapchat Sunday showing her boyfriend pointing a gun at her head as she was enjoying life in her new home. Little did anyone expect, however, that she would soon be found dead with a bullet wound.

Hernandez, a mother of two, posted one picture with a gun and ammunition and two photos of her boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, pointing the gun at the camera, according to the Daily Dot.

In one picture the gun was held "disturbingly" close to her head, while another shows her smiling at the camera with the phrase "Strap Chat" over the pic - a reference to a slang term meaning that someone is carrying a gun or firearm.

While odd, no flags were raised until Hernandez, 21, was found dead around 7:35 p.m. after suffering "at least one" gunshot wound. Police found the house "ransacked, with blood all over the floor."

Upon learning of the murder, Hernandez's family and friends knew Gonzalez was responsible.

"I know his history. He's fresh straight out of the penitentiary," longtime friend Jaquinlan Davis said, according to Arkansas CBS affiliate THV 11. "I really felt like she shouldn't be around him at all, and I guess my gut was telling me it was right that she should have never been over here."

Using the pictures as evidence, authorities arrested Gonzalez, 20, the following day and charged him with first degree murder. He was held without bond at the Pulaski County Detention Center and had an initial hearing Tuesday morning.

Police are investigating to find out what prompted the murder.
