Thirteen-year old Luo Siqi has been roaming the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangdong province, China, since July, dressed as a flight attendant and baffling her adoptive parents as to why she refuses to leave, the South Morning China Post reports.

Police officers first noticed Siqi in August and decided to question her as to why she was lingering around posing as a China Southern Airlines' flight attendant, carrying airline documents.

"I am truly in love with the sky. Let me go to the airport," she told police, according to the New Express Daily.

Siqi told the Daily that she was abandoned by her biological parents shortly after she was born, and has since been adopted more than once. Her current adoptive parents suspect that someone has been telling their daughter how to act, and are insistent that police investigate Siqi's bizarre behavior. Siqi has been taken by officials to a Guangzhou children's welfare center twice, but she insists on returning to the airport.

Although the 13-year old has completed elementary school, she has not enrolled in middle school. She currently lives with her cousin, a relative of her adoptive father who resides in an eldery care center, in the nearby city of Luoding. Siqi left her home this summer to "take a look at the big city." She told the Daily that she got all of their airline uniforms online, and "once bought four suits at the same time [to accomodate] four different seasons," which cost her about $38 to $340 each (between 280 and 3,000 yen).

"I love blue sky, and have always dreamed of flying. By doing this, I am a bit closer to my dream," Siqi said.

One commentor on the South Morning China Post website suggested that the airline offer the teen a trainee job to help her get closer to her dream of becoming a flight attendant.
