On July 5, Amanda Peterson, who starred in "Can't Buy Me Love," unexpectedly passed away at just 43 years old. Peterson was found in her home after her family had not heard from her for a few days.

While the cause of her death was unknown, her father told TMZ at the time that he believed it had something to do with her "illness and sleep apnea problem."

Now, two months after her death, the autopsy and toxicology reports have come back revealing that she had died from an accidental morphine overdose, according to The Greely Tribune. The morphine in her system caused hypoventilation and respiratory failure, making her breaths less frequent.

A deadly combination of drugs on top of the morphine, which consisted of anti-anxiety medication, opiates, anti-psychotic medication and marijuana, were found in the toxicology report, according to TMZ. A medical examiner said she had six times the normal level of Gabapentin in her system, which is a drug she was prescribed for pain.

She was "naive to opiates" and was self-medicating herself with all these drugs, according to the toxicology report. She had also taken the morphine, which she got from a friend, to "control pain" in the week leading up to her death.
