Transfer Deadline Day is nearly finished. Manchester City jumped on the transfer train and secured the services of Belgian attacker, Kevin De Bruyne, from Wolfsburg today. The two parties agreed on a $90 million deal, which sets a Bundesliga record, according to German newspaper, Bild.

The news comes as a shock to many Manchester United fans, as the club was rumored to be in talks with De Bryune, according to The Mirror. United has been incredibly active this transfer season and had they landed De Bryune, their midfield would be incredibly dangerous. For City fans, that is a sigh of relief and cheers of joy for preventing the signing from occurring.

De Bruyne is coming off a career-best season in 2014, where he tallied 10 goals and dished out 20 assists in the Bundesliga. His overall performance even earned him the "German Player of the Year" award. Now that he is occupying the wings of Man City, the Premier League leaders are an even bigger favorite to win the league title.

This is the second time that De Bryune has played in the Premier League. Two years ago, De Bryune struggled to crack the Chelsea starting line-up and ultimately lead to him leaving for Wolfsburg. Now that he is back, his stock has only gotten hotter and his talents have skyrocketed.

With the transfer window closing, City can rest easy knowing that their squad is stocked full of incredibly talented players. Manager Manuel Pellegrini's sit a top of Premier League and hold a strong hand on making a deep run in this year's UEFA Champions League finals.
