Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane reportedly met with police in connection with the ongoing rape investigation involving the All Star NHLer. Investigators recently met with Kane, who has been accused of raping a young woman at his lakeside home in Hamburg, New York, in the presence of Kane's lawyer, per a report from Tim Graham of the Buffalo News.

"One source said an investigator with the Erie County District Attorney's Office met with Kane, while the second source said an investigator with the DA's Office and a detective with the Hamburg Police Department met with the hockey player. Both said the meeting occurred in the presence of Kane's attorney," Graham reports.

"One source said it took place at the office of Kane's attorney, Paul Cambria."

Cambria has declined to comment, per Graham.

Early reports indicated that Kane was believed to have met a woman at a downtown Buffalo nightclub and returned with her and others to his home in Hamburg. Shortly after the first report, police in New York confirmed their investigation into Kane's connection to the incident.

Since then, more details have emerged, including that the woman accusing Kane claims that the Blackhawks star invited her and her friends to a private party at his home after meeting them at SkyBar. The women and Kane were driven to his home by off-duty Buffalo Police Lt. Thomas English.  Kane's accuser alleges that, once at his home in Hamburg, she went by herself to another room into which Kane followed her and subsequently raped her.

After the attack, the woman left Kane's home with her friend, called a relative and then went to a local hospital for examination, including a rape kit. The examination revealed bite makes on her shoulder and scratch marks on her legs.

Per the News, due to the high profile nature of the case it is being considered a joint investigation between the District Attorney's Office and the Hamburg Police Department.
