Kelly Clarkson is "totally pregnant!" The 33-year-old original "American Idol" winner announced she's expecting her second child with husband Brandon Blackstock during her latest "Piece by Piece Tour" show at the Staples Center on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The blond beauty broke down into tears while singing "Piece by Piece," a song about her broken relationship with her father. She later told her audience that she was fortune to have a supporting husband, saying, "Not everybody is born with a great dad or a great role model. I married such a great lover."

Clarkson also explained her inability to get through the song, telling the crowd, "I was not planning on announcing this, but ... I'm totally pregnant. I'm having a really hard time."

Clarkson's surprising announcement was met with loud cheers from her audience and, given the huge support system from her fans, the singer, who was wearing long, sparkly dress for her show, took a bow.

"This is not how I wanted to announce [the pregnancy]," an emotional Clarkson added. "I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something weird... I would like to apologize to my husband. This was not planned. I'm just so hormonal. Everything is great. I haven't vomited yet. That's a win y'all.

"I'm so nervous to talk to my husband. We haven't even told our [extended] family!" she added before covering Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer."

Clarkson and Blackstock are already parents to 14-month-old daughter, River Rose. Blackstock is also a father to two children, son Seth and daughter Savannah, from his previous marriage.

Earlier this year, Clarkson admitted that she was sick a lot during her first pregnancy.

"My body shuts down when I'm pregnant, it was the worst. It was really hard, just physically couldn't stop vomiting," she told Zach Sang & the Gang's radio show in April. "Honestly the only reason I am hoping for a boy is because they usually say if you're sick with a girl, you won't be with the boy. And if you are sick with the boy, you won't be with the girl."
