George Zimmerman is back in the spotlight again. This time it's because he's teaming up with Andy Hallinan, the owner of the "Muslim-Free Zone" gun shop, to sell paintings of the Confederate battle flag.

"This painting was painted in honor of Andy Hallinan for being a true patriot and leading the country into a better, safer America," the painting's advertisement on Hallinan's website reads.

The battle flag prints, which are each signed and numbered by Zimmerman, feature the words "The 2nd Protects Our 1st."

Zimmerman said the quote has a double meaning, according to the New York Daily News.

"The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American Flag, but [I] decided to repaint over it with the Confederate Flag when I heard Andy was getting sued [by the Council on American-Islamic Relations]. The second flag I painted was the Battle Flag which we need in America in order to protect the first," he said in a statement.

Since Zimmerman called up Hallinan to ask how he could help, they've become good friends.

"He said not only will I pray for you, but I'll be there in an hour," Hallinan recalled their first conversation over the phone in a video posted to his website Monday.

"I didn't want to see you give up the fight simply for financial reasons," Zimmerman said of his motive while sitting with Hallinan. "I know that you're up against CAIR, and various organizations. CAIR is suing you. They have endless resources. They have tons of money. I just wanted to do my part."

The website lists each painting as $50 each if the buyer pays by credit card and $48.90 if the buyer pays with cash, reported AJC. In addition, buyers are entered into a raffle to win Zimmerman's original painting potentially worth $100,000.

Any money made from the sales will be split between Zimmerman and Hallinan, which will go towards "their legal funds, legal expenses and advancing their mission to change the country." An undisclosed percentage will also go toward the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, according to the advertisement.
