A Taiwanese woman dubbed the "McDonald's Goddess" due to her striking looks has become the source of an influx of customers at a McDonald's in Taiwan.

Wei Han Xu, also known as Weiwei, became an Internet icon after a blogger named RainDog called her the "cutest McDonald's goddess in Taiwanese history" and uploaded photos of her online.

In various photos shared by the blogger, Xu can be seen wearing an assortment of clothes, including a maid outfit and her actual uniform. However, as Shanghaiist reported, it is common for female staff members to show up for work wearing cosplay outfits — such as maid, sailor and cheerleader uniforms — and have been doing so since 2013.

Upon seeing her photos, smitten fans became obsessed with finding out where the "McDonald's Goddess" worked and poured into the restaurant once they found out, reported Yahoo! News. Now, Xu has become the cause of a surge of sales at the restaurant along Jianguo South Road in the Da'an District.

Xu, who is college student and has worked part-time at McDonald's for five years, is happy with the newfound fame and has already appeared on Taiwanese game shows.

She did note, however, that there is one person not pleased with the attention: her boss. While it's true that traffic has risen since her rise in popularity, some customers come to the restaurant just to take a picture without buying anything.
