More shirtless Zac Efron is coming to a theater near you. The “Neighbors” star is in negotiations to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in the upcoming “Baywatch” movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The big screen adaptation of the popular TV show will star Johnson as “a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard who is forced to team with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is headed toward production by early next year and recently added Seth Gordon to direct. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the latest draft of the script.

Efron just wrapped production on the comedy “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.” He’s also working on a “Neighbors” sequel with Seth Rogen and will star opposite Robert De Niro in the comedy, “Dirty Grandpa,” in January.

The 27-year-old actor next stars as an aspiring DJ in “We Are Your Friends,” which premieres on Aug. 28.
