Ted Cruz has publicly said that he will not attack his fellow Republicans, despite that fact that he's running against nearly 20 of them to win the Presidential primary election in 2016. But an audio recording has revealed that Ted Cruz has had plenty to say about Mitt Romney, calling him Romney the worst possible candidate, according to the National Journal. Cruz goes on to call the former Governor weak and timid.

"The Republican Party...sought out and found the one human being on the face of the planet who had designed and implemented a program just like Obamacare," he said during a private speech in May, according to audio recording obtained by the National Journal.

In an interview on Texas radio earlier this week, Cruz impersonated Romney, said he "got clobbered" in the 2012 election, and lumped Mitt Romney together with Jeb Bush, another GOP contender, according to The Blaze. Cruz, along with at least a dozen other Republicans, will participate in a primary debate on Aug. 6. Romney is not in the race.

Cruz was speaking to KFYO radio in Lubbock, Texas when he made his remarks. This video has some of the audio of that interview. Many of Cruz's remarks center around the recent Iran deal. "When you send billions of dollars to Jihadists trying to kill Americans, you bear responsibility for the murder that they carry out with the money you have given them," Cruz said on the radio, according to CNN.
