Brooke Hogan, the daughter of the former WWE pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan, never pursued a wrestling career of her own but she joined her dad in a tag team match on social media on Friday to defend his public image. While her dad found himself in the midst of a media backlash after a transcript of the champ's alleged "racial tirade" was released, Brooke supported the Hulk in a recent Facebook post, E! News reported.

Born Brooke Bollea, the 27-year-old singer and former reality star of VH1's "Hogan Knows Best," posted a photo collage of her dad to her Facebook page. In the caption of the post, she paid tribute to her father and asked his fans for forgiveness in a poem.

"We always fight a battle that people never see, and sometimes when you're hurting, you don't think logically," Brooke wrote. "Human isn't perfect, and perfect is not he, but I can tell you one thing, it's just not what it seems."

The poem was posted the day that all traces of the Hulkster (whose real name is Terry Bollea) was scrubbed from the WWE website and the wrestling entertainment company announced it has broken its contract with the champ, as previously reported by HNGN. The decision came after a joint investigation from the National Inquirer and Radar Online unearthed audio footage of the Hulk on a racial tirade. A transcript of the recording allegedly quotes him as he dropped the n-word repeatedly when talking about Brooke's alleged biracial relationship.

The Hulk issued a statement to People on Friday after the WWE announced its split from the 12-time world champion and apologized for his actions.

"This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise," he told People. "I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs."
