Nicole Kidman opened up to Vogue for the magazine's August issue. In the cover story Kidman talked about everything from her father's death to her relationship with current husband Keith Urban. While the actress was very open with the fashion magazine about most things, she refused to talk about Scientology or the HBO documentary on the topic called "Going Clear."

The Academy Award winner looked stunning on the cover and wore a black sequin backless dress designed by Marc Jacobs. The cover faced some serious backlash after fashionistas deemed the cover to be less than impressive and boring. "This is VERY boring indeed. She looks sad and tired and the cover reads 'happier than ever' – good one! The pose is the same as Sandra Bullock indeed and wearing the same brand," one user ranted.

The designer of the cover dress Jacobs posted a picture of the cover on his Instagram account and it also received some of the same sort of hate from fashion lovers. However, Jacobs was quick to come to Kidman's defense, "All you haters... When were you last given a cover of Vogue? Damn people have a lot of negative energy..!!" the designer said.

Controversy aside, the actress also dished about her family and relationship with her country music star husband. Kidman admitted that she wishes she had met Urban sooner and wishes they had more children together. "I wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him. But I didn't," she told the magazine. "I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious. But as Keith says, 'The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.'"

The eventful interview also touched on Kidman's late father, Dr. Anthony Kidman and how the actress refused to discuss the Church of Scientology. The August 2015 issue of Vogue hits newsstands July 21.
