Elon Musk was so inspired by the futuristic and fictional technology depicted in the movie "Iron Man" that he came up with an idea to design rocket parts just with hand gestures.

Elon Musk may be one of many people inspired by the fictional technology displayed in the movie "Iron Man" but he sure is the only person on earth to turn this fantasy into reality. The SpaceX and Tesla Motors founder has revealed through his Twitter account Friday that he has built a system to design rocket parts with "hand movements through the air."

We figured out how to design rocket parts just w hand movements through the air (seriously). Now need a high frame rate holograph generator.

Musk isn't the one to shy away from sharing with the world his progress with his inventions. Earlier this month, Musk released his plans for the Hyperloop, a high speed train 10 times faster than a bullet train, to be built in California.

Musk added in a following tweet that he would post a video to the world showing the designing of rocket parts with hand gestures only.

Musk also revealed that the idea of building such a technology came from the movie "Iron Man". In a reply to the movie's director Jon Favreau tweet, Musk said that he "saw it in the movie and made it real. Good idea!"

Like in Iron Man? RT @elonmusk: Will post video of designing a rocket part with hand gestures & immediately printing in titanium - Jon Favreau (@Jon_Favreau) August 24, 2013

@Jon_Favreau Yup. We saw it in the movie and made it real. Good idea! - Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 24, 2013

With the growing technology, gesture controlled interfaces may not sound impossible. Devices like Leap Motion have given a glimpse in to the future of technology. But with Musk's brainy ideas we can surely expect sophisticated technology coming into the world.
