Amber Heard, along with husband Johnny Depp, continue to face problems with their dogs in Australia, as the actress has been charged with illegally bringing her pets into the country.

The charges include two counts of illegally importing Pistol and Boo into Australia and one count of producing false documents, the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions said on Thursday. The importation charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $75,000. The false document charge, which relates to information on an incoming passenger card, could lead to a penalty of up to one year in prison and a fine of $7,500, according to People.

The fiasco stated in May after Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce accused Depp and Heard of smuggling their Yorkshire terriers aboard a private jet when he returned to Australia to resume filming of the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, the Associated Press reported. Joyce gave the couple 72 hours to get the dogs out of the country and warned that if they were not, they would be euthanized.

Heard was not likely to face charges since she brought them back to the U.S. before the 72 hour time frame was up, Us Weekly reported. The actress, 29, was issued a summons to appear in court in Queensland on Sept. 7.
