The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most interesting quarterback situations in the NFL. Sam Bradford is the headlines grabber after the big offseason trade to acquire the former No. 1 overall pick, but fourth-stringer Tim Tebow is a known lightning rod as well. Much has been made of his chances of making the team ever since the mad scientist Chip Kelly signed him.

SportsInsights.com, a website that calculates odds for various sports, recently gave their take on the situation.

Is a 31 percent chance fair? Say what you want about Tebow's wonky throwing mechanics, but third-string QB Matt Barkley was on the trading block as recently as a few months ago. Kelly clearly isn't enamored with the former USC Trojan.

Tebow has proven effective in certain offensive packages, as seen by his time with the Denver Broncos in which he won a playoff game over the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, it's doubtful that his style of play is sustainable over the long run. He may be the most athletic quarterback on Philly's roster, but he's far behind the others when it comes to pure passing ability.

The Eagles open training camp on Aug. 2. At that time, Tebow will have the opportunity to prove to coaches that he belongs in the NFL.
