Amanda Peterson, former actress and 1980s teen queen, was recently found dead at her home in Greeley, Colo., as previously reported by HNGN. But after the release of Peterson's mug shots and reports of her criminal history, the tragic tale of the former Hollywood star's troubled past has been revealed.

In records obtained from the Weld County Sheriff's Office in Greeley, documents show that Peterson was arrested several times between 2000 and 2012, according to People.

The "Can't Buy Me Love" star was arrested in March 2010 for third-degree assault, according to police documents. Peterson allegedly was involved in a fight with another woman in Fort Collins, Colo., during which reports claim she was drunk and slurring her speech. Her boyfriend at the time told police that Peterson was on medication for ADD and bipolar disorder and should not have been drinking.

She was also arrested in 2000, 2003 and 2005, and was in jail from September of 2005 through December of that same year. Her last arrest in 2012 was for a DUI and possesion of narcotic equipment. Her mug shots from each of her arrests show the fallen star in an unflattering light, and in one of the shots, Peterson is seen with two black eyes.

Sylvia, Peterson's mother, told Entertainment Tonight that the actress did have a drug history but she had been clean for some time.

"This was not, in any way, a drug thing," Sylvia said, according to ET. The family has spoken out about the probable cause of death, which they assume is associated with Peterson's sleep apnea. The actress' mother shared details of her last moments with her daughter.

"She was in bed, and she'd had a wonderful day, and we were planning on a dinner the next day," Sylvia told People, "so it was just a very, very big surprise."

Since news of her death broke, Peterson's former co-stars and fellow Hollywood actors paid tribute to her on social media, as previously reported by HNGN. See Peterson's mug shots below.
