Doctors at a California hospital are seeing triple after a trio of triplets were born in the past month, the Associated Press reported.

The first set of triplets was born at Fresno's Community Regional Medical Center during the week of June 7, the second set was born on the week of June 18, and the third set was born three days later, according to local paper the Fresno Bee. The fourth is due in August.

Dr. Steven Elliott said he can't remember when he has had a trio of triplets under his care in his 30 years as a neonatologist, AP reported. He said all nine babies were delivered by cesarean section and are doing well, as are their mothers.

"When I first found out I was carrying triplets, I thought they were lying to me," new mom April Delgado said in an interview with the Fresno Bee's Silvia Flores. "I was in disbelief, I was in shock, I was speechless."

Another new mom, Stacie Trasoras, said she would like to keep in touch with the parents of the other sets of triplets for moral support.

"I would like to say congratulations to the other moms," Trasoras said. "As I'm learning through Facebook and other social media, it's a very good idea to have groups and other parents that you can rely upon to help with the unique challenges of having triplets will bring."
