Jackson is going on tour for the first time in four years. The pop icon announced on her website Monday the first 36 dates of her "Unbreakable World Tour," which kicks off Aug. 31 in Vancouver, B.C., and will continue throughout North America until Nov. 12 - making stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, L.A., Miami, New Orleans, Cincinnati, OH and more.

The 49-year-old "Together Again" singer made the announcement via Twitter on Monday, and posted a behind-the-scenes video of dancers performing a choreographed routine as part of the auction process for the tour.

This will be the Grammy winner's first time on the road since her "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal" tour in 2011. Earlier this month, Jackson announced that she's working on her eleventh studio album, set to be released this fall under BMG and her new label Rhythm Nation.

Last month, Jackson released a minute-long video announcing her return to the music industry.

Tickets go on sale June 22 at JanetJackson.com. American Express Card members can purchase tickets before the general public starting Monday, June 15, at 10:00 a.m. ET to Friday, June 19, at 10:00 pm. ET.
