‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Episode 2 ‘Stormborn’ Offers A Lot; Showrunners Explain Nymeria-Arya Reunion By Dipannita | Jul 25, 2017 02:05 PM EDT "Game of Thrones" Season 7 episode 2 titled "Stormborn" gave fans a lot more than they had expected but the best thing was the reunion of Arya and Nymeria. It was quite an emotional meeting, laden with deep philosophy, which showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have explained. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 episode 2 "Stormborn" was pretty stormy in its events as there was a lot happening everywhere. According to The Verge, one of the highlights of the episode was the confession followed by lovemaking between Greyworm and Missandei. Fans of the duo had been rooting for them for seasons and it came out at last, in a quiet innocent way, reminding fans of another beloved pair- Jon Snow and Ygritte. However, the lovemaking could not materialize between Yara and Ellaria as the evil Euron struck their ship and took the duo hostage. Watch video Theon managed to escape but it was quite sad as the man has been through numerous trials. On the other hand, Dany did some tough interrogation with Varys but the Spider was bang on with his convincing answers. Jon Snow was also impressive when he gave Littlefinger the choking but now that he has left for Dragonstone, one fears if Lord Baelish would get off with his malicious and manipulate Sansa Stark. Speaking of Starks, the youngest Stark, Arya is heading North after learning about Jon Snow from Hot Pie but before that she united with her direwolf Nymeria and it was a heartening meeting, claimed The Independent. Nymeria did recognize her master but on being offered to return home, she just turned away making Arya utter something that she had uttered about herself to her dad in Season 2. Back then she had said that what her dad was saying was not her and in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 episode 2 she said the same thing to Nymeria which showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have explained. The duo said that it is an explanation of what Arya herself has become in all these seasons. She is no longer what she was once and so is Nymeria; an understanding which breaks Arya's heart but she reconciles herself to it.
