Luiz Carlos da Rocha, the cocaine empire boss, has finally been captured by the Brazilian police. The drug kingpin was notorious as he evaded arrest by changing his face using plastic surgery, for the past 30 years.

The Brazilian drug lord and the "a legend of drug trafficking," Luiz Carlos da Rocha has been arrested by the Federal Police. According to New York Post, he was arrested from his Sorriso home, along with his wife and son.

Notably, Rocha evaded arrest for the past 30 years by changing his face with the help of plastic surgery. The surgery also helped him look 20 years younger than his original age of 60 years. However, it is the new photographic technology that helped the officials to track the Brazilian drug lord. His right hand and accomplice has also been arrested during the raids.

Additionally, reports from The Telegraph state that the officials seized $10 million worth of property that includes farms, and assets that include luxury cars and also planes during the raids. It must be mentioned that the drug kingpin has assets worth nearly $100 million, accumulated from his drug dealings.

Rocha and his organization is said to have produced the drug in Bolivia, Peru and Columbia and then supplied the cocaine to places like United States, Paraguay and Europe. And, he supplied more than 5 tons of cocaine per month in Brazil only.

Rocha has already been sentenced to more than 50 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking and money laundering. The officials are now trying to seize the drug kingpin's $100 million assets that include money in overseas banks and also properties.

It must be mentioned that Operation Spectrum that the Federal officials started a year back and involved more than 150 agents carrying out raids and who finally nabbed the drug kingpin has successfully.
