Dwyane Wade is very likely to stay with Chicago Bulls for the 2017-18 season as he has opted in. He also told David Aldridge that he has 24 million reasons to do the same.

Dwyane Wade is not going anywhere and will stay with Chicago Bulls. According to USA Today, the 35-year-old basketball star has opted in for the 2017-18 season. An insider said that Wade will earn $23.8 million next season and he took the decision because he could not have received a salary as huge as the one he was being paid by the Chicago Bulls. So, he took the decision much before the last date i.e. June 27.

However, his act of exercising the option brings forth the speculations surrounding Jimmy Butler. Butler has been rumored to be floating in the trading circuit for over a year. The recent months saw him getting associated with Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. Nevertheless, the management at Chicago Bulls has refrained from saying anything over the matter and it looks like they are also not in favor of sending away their most competent player.

It is said that Chicago Bulls have sent word to Cleveland Cavaliers that Butler does not wish to leave his present team, ESPN claimed. Cleveland has been told that Butler does not see his future somewhere else and desires to take Chicago Bulls back to their lost position at Eastern Conference. As fans may know, Butler will become a free agent in 2019 and everyone is aware that last season saw him striking up a strong friendship with Butler.

Jimmy Butler gave credit to Dwyane Wade on many occasions for helping him better his gaming skills. Both also saw eye to eye after losing to Atlanta Hawks as they criticized their younger teammates and the duo had to bear the brunt of their blunt comments. Wade, particularly, suffered a loss in terms of reputation.
