AT&T was seen rolling March security updates to the best smartphones from Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6 Edge, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 smartphones which have already received the update. Currently, the company is rolling out the update to Samsung Galaxy Express 3 (J120A) and Galaxy Express Prime (J320A).

According to the Software update for Samsung Galaxy Express 3 (J120A) AT&T website, the Smartphone users are receiving a monthly patch update as build number MMB29K.J120AUCU2AQC1. The update was released on March 28, 2017, and has already started to hit the Galaxy Express 3 devices on AT&T network.

 The update is reported to weighing around 21MB and the update carries fixes for a number of issues including VoLTE mute, RTCP jitter, and Rx audio. The users using this smartphone reported the Rx audio issue. It is also reported that the Samsung Galaxy Express 3 device with build number ending in PJ2 or QB1 will be able to download and install the new Android march security update.

The update is reported to have a heavy size of 428MB and the update carries fixes for a number of issues including VoLTE mute, RTCP jitter, and Rx audio. The users using this smartphone reported the Rx audio issues. It is also reported that the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime device with build number ending in PJ2 or QA1 will be able to download and install the new Android march security update.

AT&T gives complete details on how to install the Android software security update-

  • User shall make sure that the device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi,
  • From the device home screen swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings. 

  • Swipe to the System tab and tap About device.
  • Tap Software Update > Update Now.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  • The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.
