"Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol.2 is all set for May release, however, fans are also excited about the all new video game inspired by the first Guardians movie. The name of the game has been finalized as "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in the "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series", players will join the Star-Lord, Peter Quill, along with Gamora, Rocket, Drax and Groot. The trailer shows off amazing adventures and dangerous missions in order to overcome Thanos.

Since Thanos didn't have any major role in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1", it is to be assumed that the game will be based on the Marvel comics, rather than the film. "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series" will have a different set of voice actors from the film.

The voice of the Star-Lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series" is done by Scott Porter. Porter is known for his role in the "Friday Night Lights".

The video game also uses voice talents of Emily O'Brien as Gamora, Nolan North as Rocket Raccoon, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax the Destroyer, and Adam Harrington as Groot. "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series" plot will revolve around the heroes finding a powerful artifact. The object is initially desired by each of the Guardians but they must protect it from Thanos who also wants it.

According to IGN, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series" will launch on April 18. The first episode is available for download for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC and Mac platforms.

The first of five episodes of "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series" has been named as "Tangled Up in Blue".  A Guardians of the Galaxy season pass has been also announced, which will be available in US on May 2, and internationally on May 5.
