The bodies of three surfers who mysteriously vanished while on vacation in Mexico have been found.

Jack Carter Rhoad of San Diego, California, and Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, were reported missing Saturday after the trio failed to check into their Airbnb in the coastal city of Rosarito, Mexico.

Their remains were located about 100 miles away in Ensenada, Mexico, Friday KFMB-TV reported, citing Mexican authorities.

Their manners of death were not disclosed.

The discovery comes a day after the Baja California Attorney General's Office announced three people of Mexican nationality were under investigation. The AG's office said a white pickup truck and "other evidence related to the events" were found, however they did not elaborate.

The Robinson brothers' mother, Debra Robinson, pleaded for the public's help on social media earlier this week, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. "They were due to book into an Airbnb in Rosarito after their camping weekend but they did not show up. Callum is a type one diabetic so there is also a medical concern," she wrote.
