There were 19 U.S. senators who voted against a $95 billion aid package that passed on Tuesday.

It earmarks about $61 billion to Ukraine. About $26 billion will go to support Israel and provide humanitarian relief for Gaza.  Taiwan will also get a share of the money as it faces an increased threat from China.

Most of the senators who rejected the measure were Republican but there were two Democrats and independent Bernie Sanders who voted against the measure.

Three senators did not vote at all.  They were Rand Paul (R-KY), Tim Scott (R-SC) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

President Biden is expected to sign the bill on Wednesday.

The U.S. Senate passed the military aid package on Tuesday after the House passed it over the weekend.

Pentagon Spokesperson Brigadier General Patrick Ryder believes that the United States will be able to "rush the security assistance in volumes" to Ukraine soon.

The Pentagon says it will begin moving ammunition, artillery shells and air defense assets quickly but it will take several weeks for any new weapons to reach the front lines in Ukraine and it will likely be June before Ukraine will be in an improved position.

Here is the list of senators who voted against the Ukraine aid bill:

Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)

Mike Braun (R-IN)
