As the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan gathered on Thanksgiving for one of their biggest family photos, one member of the family was noticeably absent - Rob Kardashian.

The camera-shy Kardashian did spend the holiday with his family but missed out on the photo opportunity, his mother Kris Jenner explained on Maria Menounos' SiriusXM show. His sister Khloe Kardashian hosted this year's festivities at her home where Rob is also living.

"He lives with Khloe," Jenner told Menounos. "So he was around, and then went over to a buddy's house. He's doing all right. You know, he's doing his best. He's not into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he's working on himself. He's going to be OK."

Kourtney, Kim and Khloe's younger brother has kept out of the spotlight over the last few years. Khloe spoke to him briefly on the phone in an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" last season, and he posted his first selfie in years on Instagram in August, looking much thinner after his major weight gain and battle with depression.

A surprising cameo in the Thanksgiving family photo was Caitlyn Jenner. She stood in the back with her hands on the shoulders of her daughter, Kendall Jenner. Caitlyn and her ex-wife, Kris, have struggled with their relationship since Caitlyn's transition earlier this year.

"Caitlyn kind of did a drive-by, came by, spent some time, then went on to do the family rounds because everybody's scattered all over the place," Kris said. "Because we're so busy and life is at a lightning pace sometimes, we don't stop and feel things. So on days like Thanksgiving and when you have down time, you sit back and go 'Wow, this is a little different than it was last year.'"
